We arrived around midday and after walking for a while, our stomachs started to “growl” for some food. When we started our trip we promised ourselves that we will try to tackle some “traditional” or “stereotypical” english dishes, so it seemed perfect that we found Union Jacks, a Jamie Oliver and Chris Bianco restaurant that focuses on British classics.
I’m alive! I know that I’ve been living under a rock for a few days now and haven’t been able to post something lately but I promise, I’m alive and well haha, just sorting a few things out here before I get on the blogging train again.
Sometime during March I introduced a new monthly blogging event called Love My City, in which we aim to share little hidden (or not so hidden) gems of our city that are worth talking about, in order to create a massive travel guide of the world, from locals.
I hosted the first edition of this event and even though we started off slowly, I glad that I wasn’t the only one posting haha so without further ado, here are our March picks.
Splore
The lovely Genie from BunnyEatsDesign (and host of our April Edition) went on a now traditional escapade to the Splore Festival, for 3 days a music, art, circus costumes and food all topped up with the amazing view of the Tapapakanga Park. I only have one question for Genie…what on earth are twerking vehicles!?
Windy Wellington
Suzy gave us the whole event schedule, from compliment day to the Cricket’s World Cup, and since the CWC s being held (conjointly with Australia) in New Zealand, this was the perfect opportunity to show us some lovely photos of her city, Wellington. And all of this without even stepping outside! A little armchair traveling never killed nobody…

And finally I shared this awesome little place at the Winyard Quarter. A little modern bar called a ‘free house’ where they showcase a tremendous variety of New Zealand Brewed Beers and you can choose to do a beer tasting of 4, 6 or 8 different beers which comes in a crate. Oh and the fries are not bad also…
Hope you enjoyed this month roundup of Love My City, hopefully we’ll have more fabulous places to talk about soon!

Estoy viva!

As I was uploading one of my lastest posts to the OurGrowingEdge Linkup group, it hit me. Wouldn’t it be great to have a monthly blogging event where people could upload little reviews of places, events, cafes, etc in their cities and that way we could create mini “travel guide” around the world?
So I decided to create my own Monthly Blogging Event (still deciding on a name) but for now we’ll call it “Love my city”
Who can participate?
Everybody! Everywhere! It’s an open group with the ultimate goal of sharing experiences, places, and events. There is no need to participate each month, you can do it when you believe you found something you’d like to share. Just make sure you let us know where in the world is it. As long as related to the theme, you can share it. It can be a full on review of a place or just some place you found and want to share with us. The options are unlimited.
Rules
- Your post must contain the words Love my city, LMC thumbnail, Host name and link to their blogs. Eg: This post is part of the monthly blogging event Love my city, where we share hidden gems and places worth talking about. This month event is hosted by [Host name] at [Blog name]
- Your entry must link to the hosts blog and to LMC original page. If you want to add an already published post, just make sure you update it with the hosts and page links.
- You can submit as many entries as you like as long as they relate to the theme and are up to date.
(Make sure you save the LMC thumbnail to add to your post)
This month I will be hosting and sharing my post on 16tun bar I wrote a few weeks ago, if you want to participate, just click on the following button and follow the guides.
I really hope some of you will participate and hopefully we will be able to create a worldwide little travel guide of amazing places!
